The Black Hills State University Yellow Jackets compete as members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Black Hills State is a public institution located in Spearfish, South Dakota, about 45 minutes northwest of Rapid City. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000.
