The Truman State University Bulldogs compete as members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Truman State, formerly "Northeast Missouri State" or "Kirksville State", is a public institution located in Kirksville, Missouri, about an hour north of Columbia. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 6,000.
