The Western State Colorado University Mountaineers compete as members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Western State is a public institution located in Gunnison, Colorado, about three hours southwest of Denver. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
