The Oklahoma Baptist University Bison compete as members of the Sooner Athletic Conference in NAIA Division I basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Oklahoma Baptist is a private Baptist institution located in Shawnee, Oklahoma, about a half-hour east of Oklahoma City. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
