The Colorado Mesa University Mavericks compete as members of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Colorado Mesa, formerly Mesa State College until 2012, is a public institution located in Grand Junction, Colorado. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 6,000.
