The University of Tampa Spartans compete as members of the Sunshine State Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school has not sponsored football since 1974. Tampa is a private non-sectarian institution located in downtown Tampa, Florida. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 5,000.
