The Texas Woman's University Pioneers compete as members of the Lone Star Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football, and although now a co-educational institution despite its name, does not offer men's basketball. Texas Woman's is a public institution located in Denton, Texas, about a half-hour north of both Fort Worth and Dallas. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 7,000.
