The Spring Garden College Bobcats ceased operations in 1993 when the school closed due to financial problems. At the time, the school was competing in NCAA Division III basketball as an independent. The school did not sponsor football. Spring Garden was a private non-sectarian institution located in what was then Spring Garden, Pennsylvania, now a district of Philadelphia.
