The Schreiner University Mountaineers compete as members of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Schreiner is a private Presbyterian institution located in Kerrville, Texas, about an hour northwest of San Antonio. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
