The Saint Mary's College Belles compete as members of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association in NCAA Division III basketball. As a women's college, the school does not sponsor football. Saint Mary's is a private Catholic (Holy Cross) women's institution located in Notre Dame, Indiana, a suburb of South Bend. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
