The Rogers State University Hillcats compete as members of the Heartland Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Rogers State, formerly "Claremore Junior College", is a public institution located in Claremore, Oklahoma, about a half-hour northeast of Tulsa. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000.
