The University of Rio Grande Red Storm compete as members of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in NAIA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Rio Grande is a private non-sectarian institution located in Rio Grande, Ohio, about two hours south of Columbus. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000. The school's teams were known as the Redmen and Redwomen until 2008.
