Oahu Bowl
The Oahu Bowl, later the Seattle Bowl, was a bowl game held from 1998 to 2002. The Oahu Bowl was played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii; the first two games were the second part of a Christmas Day doubleheader with the Aloha Bowl, while the third was held on Christmas Eve. Because of sponsorship issues and flagging attendance at both Honolulu bowl games, both bowls moved. The Aloha lost its certification, while the Oahu Bowl moved to Seattle, Washington for two more years before folding. The first Seattle game was played at Safeco Field, while the second took place at Seahawks Stadium.
The bowl featured a Western Athletic Conference/Pacific Ten Conference matchup its first two years. The Atlantic Coast Conference took over the WAC's spot in 2000. (Georgia filled in for the Pac-10 in 2000, as they didn't have enough eligible teams to meet their commitment.)
