The Mount Aloysius College Mounties compete as members of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Mount Aloysius is a private Catholic (Sisters of Mercy) institution located about 80 minutes east of Pittsburgh, near Altoona, in the town of Cresson, Pennsylvania. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
