Historical NAIA Membership Directory

Since its creation as an eight team small college basketball invitational in 1937, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics has provided countless schools and athletes to compete for national excellence. From 1937 to the present, the membership has ranged from small religious colleges, to, in some cases, major universities. This is the first sustained attempt to catalog each and everyone of those schools.

Currently in the following pages, all we have is the basic data of who has been a member. In the future, we hope to develop a format that lists each member, their location, and their length of membership. We also hope to create state-by-state, district-by-district, and year-by-year lists(after 1951).
