The University of Hawai'i at Hilo Vulcans compete as members of the Pacific West Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Hawai'i-Hilo is a public institution located in Hilo, Hawai'i, on the eastern shore of the island of Hawai'i. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
