The Austin Peay State University, generally known as Austin Peay, Governors compete as members of the Ohio Valley Conference in NCAA Division I FCS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. Austin Peay is a public institution located in the town of Clarksville, Tennessee, about 45 minutes northwest of Nashville. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 9,000.
