The Arnold College Terriers ceased operations in 1953 when the school merged with the University of Bridgeport, essentially becoming the latter's physical education department. Arnold was a private non-sectarian institution, focused on physical education studies, located in Milford, Connecticut. The school had originally been located in Brooklyn, New York, then moved to Hew Haven, Connecticut, before settling in Milford.
