The Alverno College Inferno compete in NCAA Division III as members of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in basketball. As a women's college, the school does not sponsor football or men's basketball. Alverno is a private Catholic (Franciscan) women's institution located in the southern part of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
