The Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University, or Alabama A&M, Bulldogs compete as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference in NCAA Division I FCS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. Alabama A&M, a historically black college, is a public land-grant institution located in Normal, Alabama, an enclave in the northern part of Huntsville. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 5,000.
