The Southwestern Oklahoma State University bulldogs compete as members of the Lone Star Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. In 2012, the school will leave the Lone Star to join the newly-formed Great American Conference. Southwestern Oklahoma State is a public institution located in Weatherford, Oklahoma, about 90 minutes west of Oklahoma City. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000.
