The Concordia University Chicago Cougars compete in NCAA Division III as members of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference in basketball, and as members of the Illini-Badger Conference in football. With the dissolution of the Illini-Badger Conference following the 2007 season, the football team will become inaugural members of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference for football as well. Concordia is a private Lutheran institution located in the western Chicago suburb of River Forest, Illinois. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
