The University of Dubuque Spartans compete as members of the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III football and basketball. Dubuque is a private Presbyterian institution located in Dubuque, Iowa, about an hour north of Davenport. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
