The Maryville College Scots compete in NCAA Division III as members of the Great South Athletic Conference in basketball, and as independents in football. Maryville is a private Presbyterian institution located in Maryville, Tennessee, about 20 minutes south of Knoxville. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
