The Georgian Court University Lions compete as members of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in NCAA Division II women's basketball. The school does not sponsor men's sports, including football. Georgian Court is a private Catholic (Sisters of Mercy) institution located in Lakewood, New Jersey, on the Jersey Shore midway between Atlantic City and New York. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
