The Mississippi Valley State University, or MSVU, Delta Devils compete as members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference in NCAA Division I FCS football and in NCAA Division I basketball. MVSU, a historically black college, is a public institution located in the town of Itta Bena, Mississippi, in the west-central part of the state about an hour northwest of Jackson. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
