The Saint Thomas University Bobcats begin competing as NCAA Division II Basketball Independents on a provisional basis in 2008. The school does not sponsor football. Saint Thomas, formerly "Biscayne College", is a private Catholic institution located in the Miami suburb of Miami Gardens, Florida. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
