The Lake Erie College Storm compete as members of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school currently sponsors football as a club sport, with plans to begin varsity play in 2008, coinciding with the school's teams moving to NCAA Division II. Lake Erie is a private non-sectarian institution located about a half-hour northeast of Cleveland, in Painesville, Ohio. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
