The University of Maine at Machias Clippers compete as members of the Sunrise Athletic Conference in NAIA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Maine-Machias is a public institution located in Machias, Maine, near the Canadian border in the far eastern side of the state, about four hours east of Portland and two and a half hours west of Saint John, New Brunswick. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
