The Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, generally referred to as simply "Brooklyn", Bridges compete as members of the City University of New York Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school has not sponsored football since 1991. Brooklyn is a public institution located in the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 11,000.
