The Brescia University Bearcats are members of the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (an NAIA Division II conference), but choose to compete in Division I as independents. Brescia is a private Catholic (Ursuline) institution located in Owensboro, Kentucky, about a half-hour southeast of Evansville, Indiana. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
