The University of Texas of the Permian Basin Falcons compete as members of the Heartland Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Texas-Permian Basin is a public institution located about three hours east of El Paso, in Odessa, Texas. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
