The Oakland City University Mighty Oaks compete as members of the NCAA Division II Independents in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Oakland City is a private Baptist institution located in Oakland City, Indiana, in the southern part of the state about 20 minutes north of Evansville. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
