The Fresno Pacific University Sunbirds compete as members of the Pacific West Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Fresno Pacific, formerly known as "Pacific Bible Insitute", is a private Mennonite institution located in Fresno, California, midway between Sacramento and Los Angeles. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
