The Medgar Evers College Cougars compete as members of the City University of New York Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Medgar Evers, sometimes referred to as a Historically Black College (though its establishment occurred after desegregation, thus technically disqualifying it from this status) is a public institution, part of the City University of New York, located in the Prospect Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, New York. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
