The Franciscan University of Steubenville Barons compete as independents in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Franciscan is a private Catholic (Franciscan) institution located in Steubenville, Ohio, about 40 minutes west of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
