The Northern State University Wolves compete as members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Northern State is a public institution located in Aberdeen, South Dakota, about three hours northwest of Sioux Falls. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
