The East Central University Tigers compete as members of the Lone Star Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. In 2012, the school will leave the Lone Star to join the newly-formed Great American Conference. East Central, formerly "East Central State" and "East Central Oklahoma State", is a public institution located in Ada, Oklahoma, about 90 minutes southeast of Oklahoma City. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 4,000.
