The Texas A&M University-Kingsville Javelinas compete as members of the Lone Star Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Texas A&M-Kingsville, formerly "South Texas State" and then "Texas A&I", is a public institution located in Kingsville, Texas, about 45 minutes southwest of Corpus Christi. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 6,000.
