The University of Pikeville Bears compete as members of the Mid-South Conference in NAIA football and NAIA Division I basketball. Pikeville is a private Presbyterian institution located in Pikeville, Kentucky, about two and a half hours east of Lexington in the far eastern corner of the state. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
