The Winona State University Warriors compete as members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in NCAA Division II football and basketball. Winona State is a public institution located in Winona, Minnesota, on the Mississippi River near the southeast corner of the state. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 8,000.
