Talk:Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference (1994-2015)

Another NAIA conference about to bite the dust. Do have the latest yearbook, but nothing historical except for last year: http://www.azbycx1928.com/mdsa9213gf/ (Warning, it's a flash page.)

From what is happening, Bellevue and Waldorf are going to the North Star(Waldorf is already there for football), Central Baptist will join the American Midwest, Oklahoma Wesleyan and York (NE) are going to the Kansas Collegiate and Central Christian, Haskell and College of the Ozarks will be independent for at least next year. Central Christian, BTW, may just drop to the NCCAA as a result and Haskell may pull the plug on its sports department.

Another one:

Saint Mary in Omaha (Women's college) will join the Great Plains. Should have added that in the original post.

• I have standings and conference tournament information back to 2003, and their website has champions, player of the year, and coach of the year info from the start of the conference. Everything else will require research. As soon as I finish the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, I'll start down that rabbit hole. Jon (talk) 07:24, 19 May 2015 (CDT)
  • This is an abject nightmare. Other than Peru State and Bellevue, not one team that's ever been in this conference has online records going back any further than 2003, which means we're going to have nine pages that look a lot like 1995 Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball. And based on some archive searches I did at the Omaha World-Herald and Kansas City Star, anything helpful is going to be in the scoreboard/"for the record" sections of those two papers (which don't get archived, which means finding someone who can hit up microfilm). Outside shot I might be able to find this stuff in Tulsa World archives thanks to Oklahoma Wesleyan. We're fine from 2003-04 on, though, and I'll even be able to include all-conference teams from 2007 on. Jon (talk) 04:01, 21 May 2015 (CDT)
