The Florida Institute of Technology Panthers compete as members of the Sunshine State Conference in NCAA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Florida Tech, formerly "Brevard Tech", is a private non-sectarian institution located in Melbourne, Florida, on the Atlantic Coast about 45 minutes southeast of Orlando. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
