The Ashford University Saints compete as members of the Midwest Collegiate Conference (1988-2015) in NAIA Division II basketball. Ashford, formerly a Catholic (Franciscan) school known as "Mount Saint Clare College", is a private non-sectarian institution located in Clinton, Iowa, about 45 minutes northeast of Davenport. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 18,000.
