The Haskell Indian Nations University Fighting Indiana compete in NAIA Division II as members of the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference (1994-2015) in basketball, and in NAIA football as members of the NAIA Football Independents. Haskell is a private Native American institution located in Lawrence, Kansas, about a half-hour west of Kansas City. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
