The Purdue University-Calumet Peregrines compete as members of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference in NAIA Division II basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Purdue-Calumet is a public institution located in Hammond, Indiana, about 15 minutes southeast of Chicago. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 8,000.
