The Transylvania University Pioneers compete as members of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Transylvania is a private Disciples of Christ institution located in Lexington, Kentucky. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
