The Spelman College Jaguars compete as members of the Great South Athletic Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. As a women's college, the school does not sponsor football. Spelman, a historically black college,is a private Baptist women's institution located in the University Center area of Atlanta, Georgia. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 2,000.
