The Elmira College Soaring Eagles compete as members of the Empire 8 Conference in NCAA Division III basketball. The school does not sponsor football. Elmira is a private non-denominational institution located in Elmira, New York, near the Pennsylvania border about two hours southwest of Syracuse. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 1,000.
