The Pepperdine University Waves compete as members of the West Coast Conference in NCAA Division I basketball. The school has not sponsored football since 1961. Pepperdine is a private Church of Christ institution located in Malibu, California, just west of Los Angeles. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of around 3,000.
